Infantry listings are not proof that Limited Mode is live
The October 23 developer reply schedules Season 3 for November 12 and describes Limited Mode without vehicles or power weapons. It does not establish that those servers are live now, or that an older Infantry listing already follows that ruleset.
Source review: . Check the selected server's actual rules; do not infer its current equipment whitelist from a mode name.
Choose the right server view
Open Deploy, choose Infantry Mode, then check the server's rules.
Update 0.1.2 added Deploy choices for Official, Community, Infantry Mode and Low-Level servers. It also restored advanced filters in the Official list.
- Finish the current Steam update before comparing lists.
- Choose Infantry Mode in Deploy. Compare your region and filters if the results are empty.
- Read the server description and ask an administrator which restrictions are active before buying equipment.
- Check capacity and queue state before inviting friends; a mode selection does not reserve slots.
This guide checks the documented menu and source boundaries. It does not certify a server is online or reproduce the current client.
Does Infantry Only mean no vehicles?
Do not treat the name as a complete equipment blacklist. Hosting documentation describes an Infantry modifier, while dated players report vehicles on servers listed as infantry-only. Those reports do not establish a universal bug, deliberate mislabelling or today's settings.
If the match differs from the advertised rules, record the server ID and what you observed, ask the operator, or choose another server. Avoid changing Windows settings to solve a rules mismatch.
Why are there zero Infantry servers?
An empty mode result and a failed connection are different problems. Remove restrictive region, ping, population or text filters one at a time, then compare the Community and Official views. A small mode population may leave no suitable match in your selected region.
If another view has results, do not conclude all WARDOGS servers are down. If every list is blank, use the server browser repair order and status page. A visible but full or queued server needs a capacity check, not repeated filter resets.
Common questions
Is Infantry Mode the same as Low-Level?
No. Deploy presents them as separate choices. Do not assume an infantry-focused server has a level cap or that Low-Level removes vehicles.
Can I join friends in Infantry Mode?
First agree on the same server and its rules, then check space for everyone. The friends guide covers team and squad checks; no reserved party capacity is promised.
Does this describe Season 2 rules?
The Deploy menu reference comes from Update 0.1.2; the separately dated Limited Mode announcement is newer. Neither is a live audit of every Infantry server. Check that server's description and operator rules instead of carrying an older equipment whitelist forward.
Sources and verification
Developer information and community observations are labelled separately. A player report is not a guarantee from the developer. Use the stated source-check dates; a later page edit does not recheck the underlying game data.
