Fast answer

Use the current Give Up or respawn prompt; do not rely on an undocumented /unstuck command.

  1. If you are downed and a revive is realistic, wait and call the threat before giving up.
  2. If you need to end the life, use the Give Up action shown by the current UI or your current keybind.
  3. After death, follow the deployment flow shown by the current build and reconnect with your squad instead of walking alone from the rear.
  4. If you are alive but trapped in geometry and no respawn option is present, avoid random console commands; record the location and report the bug.

Bindings can be changed. This page intentionally does not claim one universal Give Up key for every layout.

Downed is not the same as redeployed

When you are downed, a teammate may still be able to revive you. Giving up ends that chance and moves you toward a fresh deployment, so make the decision around squad position rather than impatience.

Wait for a revive

Use when the body is recoverable

Call the enemy angle, stay patient and let the medic or nearby teammate decide whether the revive is safe.

Give up and redeploy

Use when the position is lost

Use the current on-screen Give Up action when the squad has moved on, the body is exposed or the revive would cost another player.

How to redeploy without wasting another life

  1. Finish the downed-state decision.Use the current Give Up prompt only when a revive is no longer worth waiting for.
  2. Read the deployment screen before buying.Do not rebuild an expensive kit automatically after every death.
  3. Choose the route that reconnects with your squad.A forward route, team spawn asset or transport is more useful than another long solo walk when the current build offers it.
  4. Buy for one job.Replace only what you need to perform the next task and preserve enough cash for more lives.

WARDOGS changes quickly in Early Access, so exact spawn options, timers and forward-deployment assets should be read from the current deployment screen rather than copied from an older beta guide.

There is no verified universal /unstuck command

Team17 has acknowledged a current-build report where a player fell under the map after a revive and had no manual respawn button available. That means an “unstuck command” should not be presented as a guaranteed fix.

DownedUse the current Give Up action if you do not want to wait for a revive.
DeadUse the deployment flow offered by the current build.
Alive and trappedCheck the pause menu for a current respawn/redeploy option. If none exists, do not invent a console command.
Under the mapRecord the location, what happened immediately before the glitch and report it to Team17.

Rejoining is a last resort, not the normal redeploy button

If the interface is broken or you are permanently trapped with no current respawn option, leaving and rejoining may be the only practical escape. Before doing that, note the server, squad and bug location so you can reconnect and report useful evidence.

If the problem repeats after the next spawn, treat it as a bug rather than a routing mistake and use the official Report a Problem forum.

Common questions

What is the WARDOGS Give Up key?

Give Up is rebindable, so use the key shown in your current Controls menu or downed-state prompt. Do not assume a key copied from another player's custom layout is your default.

Is there a /unstuck command in WARDOGS?

We have not found an official documented universal /unstuck command for the current build. Team17 has acknowledged at least one case where a stuck player had no manual respawn button available.

Should I give up immediately when downed?

Usually not if a safe revive is realistic. A revive preserves squad presence and avoids another trip back to the fight.
