How the WARDOGS economy works

Every player begins with $10,000. Weapons, ammunition, medical gear and vehicles cost money each life, while useful actions add cash to a balance that persists between matches.

BULKHEAD's current framing is broad: combat, support and logistics all pay. The important number is not the reward that flashes after one action—it is the difference between what you spent on the life and what you earned before the kit was lost.

Match profitcash earned − lost loadouts − vehicle costs

Five reliable earning routes

Lowest entry cost

Spotting

Take binoculars or another spotting tool to a useful sightline. Mark vehicles and infantry your team can actually engage. Repeated useful information is safer than forcing a gunfight with an expensive rifle.

Best near a moving squad

Revives and healing

Follow teammates, carry smoke and revive from cover. A successful revive also protects the other player's loadout, which keeps the group moving and creates more earning opportunities.

Repeatable team service

Transport

Move players toward the Control Zone or a useful FOB, then return for the next group. Profit comes from completed deliveries and surviving long enough to repeat them—not from buying a helicopter before you can land it.

Lower combat pressure

Logistics and building

Deliver requested supplies and build structures the team will use. Confirm the destination before committing a vehicle so the run ends in value rather than an abandoned pallet.

Highest shared purpose

Objective play

Move with a group into the active zone, spot approaches and help keep the team present. Hot Zone play can increase the cash incentive, but the extra pressure also increases the chance of losing a costly kit.

Protect your bankroll

Set a loss limit before spawning

Your first $10,000 is working capital. Keep enough in reserve for several useful lives. If one death would force you into a role you do not want, the kit is too expensive for the current balance.

Buy for one job

A spotter needs observation and survival. A medic needs safe access to casualties. A transport pilot needs the aircraft and a route. Buying equipment for three roles at once raises the cost without making the life three times more productive.

Wait for a revive

Giving up turns a down into a confirmed loadout loss. If teammates can reach you safely, waiting protects the money already invested in that life.

Scale only after repeated profit

Upgrade one part of the loadout after several positive lives. A larger balance is not a reason to increase every purchase at once.

Common money mistakes

  • Chasing payout screenshots. Conditions, build and Hot Zone state are often missing.
  • Buying a vehicle to learn the controls. Use the range before risking team transport.
  • Giving up instantly. You convert a recoverable down into another full purchase.
  • Confusing XP with cash. A patch can change an XP award without changing the cash payout.
  • Using exploits or farm servers. Patch 0.11 introduced explicit penalties for economy abuse.

Common questions

What is the fastest way to make money?

No official current-build table ranks every action by cash per minute. Spotting and medical work have low entry costs; transport and logistics can repeat efficiently once you can perform them without losing the vehicle.

Can I make money without getting kills?

Yes. The game's official description rewards useful actions, and released-build reports confirm players earning through revives, transport, spotting, building and objective play.

Do I keep money between matches?

Yes. Your balance persists. That is why loadout discipline matters across several matches rather than only on the current scoreboard.

What happens if I go broke?

Use the cheapest available equipment and choose a low-cost support route. Avoid trying to win back a loss with another expensive purchase.
