The loadout rule

Buy one job, not every option.

  1. Start with the cheapest weapon you can use confidently and the correct ammunition.
  2. Add only the tool that creates your contribution: healing, spotting, supplies or repairs.
  3. Keep enough cash to deploy the same useful kit several more times.
  4. Upgrade after the role loop is working, not before the first fight.

Exact prices and unlock levels are patch-sensitive. Confirm the live loadout screen before copying any cost from a guide.

Five loadouts built around a real job

First match

Budget infantry

Basic rifle, compatible ammunition and medical basics. Stay with the squad, hold useful ground and avoid attachments that do not change the job.

Recover the squad

Medic support

Reliable primary weapon, smoke and the medical tools currently available to your Medic level. Position for safe revives rather than buying a duel-focused kit.

Create information

Recon spotter

Affordable weapon plus the spotting equipment you can use consistently. Marks that change a nearby decision are more valuable than an expensive long-range life far from the objective.

Keep the push moving

Support and logistics

Carry the construction, supply or repair tool required for the planned task. Ask the squad what is needed before paying for specialist equipment.

Protect team assets

Driver or pilot crew

Use a light personal kit and reserve attention for transport, repairs, landing or extraction. Practise aircraft controls before putting passengers and team cash at risk.

Run the four-question budget check

  • Does every purchased item support the same job?
  • Is the ammunition compatible with the selected weapon?
  • Can you afford to lose this exact kit more than once?
  • Would a cheaper kit produce the same team contribution?
Repeatable loadoutclear job + compatible gear + several lives of cash

A loadout is not “best” because it has the highest price. The best early kit is the least expensive setup that lets you repeat a useful action under pressure.

Upgrade in an order that preserves the job

  1. 01

    Reliability first

Fix incompatible ammunition, missing medical basics or a tool that prevents the kit from doing its job.

  2. 02

    Information second

Add optics or spotting capability only when it improves targets you can realistically engage or report.

  3. 03

    Survivability third

Spend on protection when the extra cost does not remove the cash buffer needed for repeated deployments.

  4. 04

    Specialist gear last

Unlock and field expensive equipment after you know the map, route and team plan that make it useful.

Saved loadouts or Rebuy Last Loadout?

These are different features. Season 2 patch notes describe Rebuy Last Loadout populating the normal vendor with your last kit, so you can add or remove items before buying. Recheck the total, ammunition and equipment before confirming.

The checked developer reply describes multiple saved loadouts as a coming feature, without a confirmed release date. It is not evidence of a working preset library in the current client. Our budget calculator does not save a kit inside the game either.

Common questions

What is the single best WARDOGS loadout?

There is no durable universal build. Your job, role level, current cash and the squad plan decide what is best for that life.

Should I spend the full starting balance?

No. Keep a reserve for several ordinary lives while you learn positioning, ammunition and the loss rules.

Should I copy an exact price list?

Only if it names the current build and check date. Early Access balance changes can make an old “best build” expensive or unavailable.
