Season 2 launched on October 15 with Update 0.2.0

The full patch notes were published October 14; the release notice followed October 15. This is released content, not the earlier preview. Weapons, vehicles, progression and server rules changed, so an older guide needs its own version label.

This hub separates the launch from later developer corrections. It is not a test of every item or a real-time promise that every server is reachable.

What the released update added

  • Weapons: TCX-SPR, PP-19 Bizon, Evo-3 Ultra and M14, with additional attachments.
  • Vehicles: Wolf-110, its M2 Browning variant, T-72B3 and Flakpanzer Gepard.
  • Equipment and building: Molotovs, MG Nest, Large Shelter and Wooden Step. The IR Rangefinder uses batteries.
  • Weather: rain changes spotting and reduces Molotov fire, alongside its visual and audio effects.
  • Wager Vendor: unavailable at launch and described as arriving later. The launch wording does not establish whether it is open today.

Use the weapon database and vehicle database for prices and gates. Their older fields stay marked individually; the launch list does not reverify every carried value.

XP changed, not just the equipment list

The release publishes selected XP milestones and moves unlocks between levels and roles. Artillery contributes to Driver; repair XP goes to Driver or Pilot depending on the repaired vehicle. Logistics has delivery-streak bonuses. Those changes affect which repeatable job you choose, not just how expensive a gun looks.

The XP calculator separates published Season 2 anchors, historical Season 1 data and manually entered cumulative totals. It does not fill unknown intermediate thresholds with an invented curve. Keep access fees separate from per-life purchases in the loadout budget tool.

Joining, ping and later corrections

The release describes team-switch restrictions when a team is more than ten points ahead. Switching teams or entering an ongoing match can leave the map obscured and the spawn vehicle unavailable until the first control-zone visit. Check that rule before assuming “Enter zone to sync” means your connection failed.

Official servers apply region-specific limits to sustained high ping; a high-ping kick blocks rejoining the same server until the next map transition. Community hosts can configure their own limits. Check ping tags and the connection diagnosis, rather than treating every refusal as a country block.

The October 16 backend post removes the Lonestar cash/XP bonus and addresses Driver progression/exploit issues. Do not keep presenting the launch experiment as unchanged live rewards. A separate October 23 developer reply then schedules Season 3 for November 12, with Limited Mode announced without power weapons or vehicles. That is newer than the October 17 discussion of bringing the season forward. See the Season 3 and wipe guide for what the date does—and does not—confirm.

A release note is not a full live-client audit

This review checks announcements. It does not retest every damage value, attachment, price or unlock in the live client. Seasonal experiments and later backend changes can supersede launch wording. The Wager Vendor's current availability, the complete current XP curve and the full November transition ledger are not established here. Season 3's exact hour and build number are not inferred from Update 0.2.0.

Keep the dates in order

  • October 9: preview of planned Season 2 additions.
  • October 14: full Season 2 patch notes published.
  • October 15: release notice confirms Update 0.2.0 and reopening after its maintenance.
  • October 16: developer backend correction removes the bonus and addresses the Driver exploit.
  • October 23: developer response supplies November 12 for the earlier Season 3 start.

Publication dates describe those statements; they do not timestamp every backend deployment or identify a maintenance time zone for Season 3.

Common questions

Is Season 2 out?

Yes. The October 15 official announcement confirms the release. That historical fact is separate from whether your region or login is working now.

Can I use the old unlock and XP tables?

Only as clearly marked historical references. Use published Season 2 changes where available, and do not assume missing thresholds follow the old curve.

Is the blue-team bonus still a reason to switch?

The October 16 developer post says the Lonestar cash/XP bonus was removed. Do not turn the original launch experiment into current farming advice.

Does Season 3 have a date now?

The October 23 developer reply schedules November 12. It does not provide an exact hour, full reset ledger or complete patch notes.

Sources and verification

Developer information and community observations are labelled separately. A player report is not a guarantee from the developer. Use the stated source-check dates; a later page edit does not recheck the underlying game data.
